Work on mobile health apps being used around the country (and the world).

Health startup emocha Mobile Health recently moved to the new FastForward 1812 incubator near Johns Hopkins Hospital. They’re enjoying it. When we last checked in, they just partnered up on developing a computer chip medical test. The company is hiring a senior software engineer, interaction designer and front end developer, among other jobs.

Work on the future of education content.

Edtech startup Wisewire came to Baltimore last year by way of acquiring Words and Numbers. The education marketplace makes learning content available to teachers. In a posting for a senior software engineer, the company is offering an opportunity to “steer the technical direction of Wisewire.”

Design for space (outer space). 

Baltimore’s Space Telescope Science Institute is the keeper of telescope data and operations. The Mikulski Archive for Space Telescopes is seeking a visual designer for new web applications.

Build cutting-edge hospital tech. 

The Johns Hopkins Medicine Technology Innovation Team is a dev team inside Johns Hopkins Hospital that works on new tools with clinicians. This posting is for an iOs developer, and the job comes with access to Apple hardware.

Work for one of Baltimore’s big companies.

Under Armour is hiring a senior software engineer and digital marketing manager. T. Rowe Price is seeking a full stack software engineer. In Towson, Stanley Black and Decker is hiring a web applications engineer. Deeper into the County, PayPal also has an opening for a software engineer.
