The Space Apps Challenge is back this weekend

NASA is putting out the call for some intergalactic innovation.
The Space Apps Challenge returns this weekend with events around the world. It’s a hackathon with NASA data. Given all the science that goes into exploring places other than our own planet, the space agency has a lot of data about our own world, too.
One of the sites of the global hackathon is the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory in Laurel, Md., where missions like the recent voyage to Pluto are being worked on every day.
Doors open at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 29. Work continues until Sunday, when a panel of judges will hear pitches at noon.
