A new quarterly event series that puts a spotlight on tech in Baltimore is debuting next week.
The first edition of the Waterfront Tech Series is slated for May 2 at IMET in Inner Harbor. Along with speakers and networking, the breakfast event also has food from Atwater’s.
MOXIE Promotion is producing the event. Owner Laura Gaworecki said she wanted to bring a networking event with a fresh outlook, and said the idea for the series grew out of conversations with Enradius CEO David Carberry and Joshua Riddle, a partner at digital marketing firm Black Label.
Along with putting a spotlight on the tech community in Baltimore, the event will explore how technology is changing all levels of business — even for companies who don’t necessarily identify as tech.
“If you have a computer and a phone … tech probably affects your business,” Gaworecki said.
Those conversations also formed the foundation of the first event, which has the theme of “Mobile First.” Carberry and Riddle are among the panelists who will offer thoughts and answer questions along with Ethan Kazi, CEO of The Canton Group.-30-
