Marketing skills and creativity go hand in hand. In a world of ever-evolving technology and social media platforms, marketers need to be creative thinkers to succeed. Innovation counts on it.
That’s the premise of this year’s Media Conference taking place during Baltimore Innovation Week 2016 presented by 14 West.
To start the day, Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) President Samuel Hoi will take a look into the creative economy in Baltimore and what skills are needed to be a creative thinker. Hoi is an advocate for art and design education for professionals in almost all sectors of the economy.
Following the keynote presentation, panels focused on the future of media will dive into best practices, new and popular tools and platforms and general tips for making your brand stand out from the competition.
We’ll also feature case studies from local agencies who will share specific client-success stories and the lessons learned from those experiences.
Here’s the current speaker lineup:
- Christine Carter, Global Consumer Platform Strategy Analyst, McCormick & Company
- Phil Han, Owner, Dooby’s
- Erica Malanga, Social Media Manager, Planit
- Tim Savage, Founder, 16 Agency
- Dan Schepleng, Creative Director, Kapowza
Check out the full conference agenda and check back for updates and new speaker announcements.
Technical.ly knows that a key to these conferences is actually having time to network with speakers, sponsors and fellow attendees, so we’ll end the day with an hourlong lunch session to give you time to reflect on the day and share your own expertise with others.
