Some of the big-time machinery at the City Garage makerspace will be on display at a free event next week.
The Foundery, which opened earlier this summer, is set to demo its 3D CAD platform SolidWorks, which is available for members of the makerspace, according to executive director Jason Hardebeck. Space is limited so:
At the Aug. 25 event, The Foundery and Columbia-based Trimech Solutions will demo the software, showing how parts modeled in SolidWorks are then cut using the makerspace’s waterjet.
Ice cream will also be provided, and it’ll be made onsite with liquid nitrogen.-30-
