Organizers of Beta City selected eight startups that will pitch a prominent group of Maryland investors at one of the biggest events being held during this year’s Baltimore Innovation Week.

The Venture Pitch Day is part of the daylong Oct. 1 event, which is being held at Sagamore Ventures’ City Garage. The event is being organized by Betamore, Sagamore, Technical.ly Baltimore and Pitch Across Maryland.

The startups will pitch investors from NEA, Grotech Ventures, Plank Industries, Camden Partners, Baltimore Angels and TEDCO.

Twenty-three startups were chosen to demo at a VIP event held being held at City Garage after the pitch event. From that list, organizers selected eight to present at the early event for investors. Here are the startups who will pitch the star-studded panel:

Following the VIP event, Beta City will culminate with an Innovation Celebration and awards ceremony during the evening. The event will also be a stop on the Pitch Across Maryland tour.
