Pixelligent lands federal grant [Startup Roundup]

Who’s getting funded?

Millennial Media signed a deal to acquire mobile advertising firm Nexage, company officials announced. The Boston firm allows real-time bidding on mobile ad space. The deal is worth $107.5 million in cash and stock, Business Insider reported.
The Nottingham health IT startup Protenus raised $770,000 in equity and debt, according to an SEC filing. The fundraising was out of an offering totaling $1.2 million.
U.S. Department of Energy officials announced a $1.25 million grant to a project Pixelligent Technologies is working on with OLEDWorks of Rochester, N.Y., the Baltimore Business Journal reported. The Holabird Industrial Park firm is working on new, ultra-efficient lighting using OLED and Pixelligent’s nanocrystals.
 

Who’s making moves?

OrderUp added five new restaurants to its Baltimore delivery services: Chick-fil-A at Canton CrossingHeavy Seas AlehouseFarmstead Grill & Farmstead ShackAtwater’s Bakery in Canton and Pasticcio Italian Kitchen & Bar. The Canton firm also announced new weekend delivery (starting at 10 a.m.) from Towson Hot Bagels in Canton. OrderUp now serves 55 restaurants delivering to residents in Canton, Fells Point and Harbor East and near Johns Hopkins Hospital, with plans to expand its Baltimore service, according to a release.
 

Who’s getting buzz?

At Tech Cocktail’s Baltimore Innovation Week mixer, HDScores and its founder Matthew Eierman won a trip to present at a Tech Cocktail event in Las Vegas, Technical.ly Baltimore reported. Eierman’s app allows users to check local restaurant health inspection records in jurisdictions where such records are digitally available.
