New Robotics Center hosting first VEX scrimmage this month [VIDEO]

The new Baltimore City Robotics Center has scheduled its first event: a scrimmage for city and county VEX Robotics teams.
The scrimmage is Nov. 19 starting at 4 p.m., and is free to attend.
Competitive robotics is slowly gaining a stronger foothold in Baltimore, and the center has just been given the space to use above the methadone clinic at 1001 West Pratt Street as an after-school practice space for the area’s middle school and high school competitive robotics teams,
Next Tuesday’s scrimmage will be the first test of the center for its designated purpose since its September expo, which proved to be the deciding factor in securing the space on the building’s second floor for the Baltimore City Robotics Center. The Abell Foundation, which owns the building at 1001 West Pratt Street, donated the room now being used as the robotics practice space.
