Civic Innovation Prize to be awarded at gb.tc Tech Night

The Mayor’s Office of Information Technology and gb.tc are offering up a $1,000 Civic Innovation Prize.
Sharon Paley of gb.tc said the prize “is intended to recognize anyone who’s using an innovative approach to improve Baltimore.”
“That absolutely includes ‘traditional’ civic hackers using tech-based solutions,” she said. “But it also means projects like the Hack the Parks installation of community-designed and -painted garbage bins in Patterson Park.”
The application is available here, and the award will be given at Tech Night on Nov. 7. All submissions are due Nov. 4.
