State archives helps Baltimore City Archives’ digitization efforts

As the Baltimore City Paper reports, it's the Maryland State Archives that "owns all the digitization and computer technology" at the Baltimore City Archives.

The Baltimore City Archives is busy scanning historical documents and digitizing centuries-old city records, but the archives doesn’t own any of the six scanners helping it complete the task. (Check out the Facebook page from the Archives, which shares great photos)
It’s the Maryland State Archives that “owns all the digitization and computer technology at BCA that modern archives management requires,” as the Baltimore City Paper reports.
It’s part of a resource-sharing agreement that began in 2009, was expanded in 2010 and has been extended through 2018 as of this June.
And if the Baltimore City Archives is looking for additional help, it might consider enlisting the help of Project Gado and the Gado digitization robot, which has been helping the Afro-American newspaper scan its archived documents.
