The British are coming. Well, at least one Brit is coming.
tiConf takes place June 28 and June 29 at the Tremont Plaza Hotel downtown.

Both conferences are organized by Boydlee Pollentine, who runs his own U.K.-based digital agency. But why did Pollentine pick Baltimore to be the host of the inaugural U.S. tiConf?
Three reasons, he said:
- “We wanted to do our event on the East Coast. Looked at places like New York City and Washington, D.C. It’s really a cost factor. We have to keep the cost relatively low while maintaing a high standard.”
- “A developer friend recommended [Baltimore] as a good option with good transport links.” (Some Baltimoreans might beg to differ, and think public transportation still needs work.)
- “Plus, I did a little bit of homework, and there’s local organizations like the Digital Harbor Foundation we can support.”
Pollentine expects about 150 attendees over the two days.
