who’s getting funded?

Triumfant, Inc., based in Rockville, has raised $4,650,000 in debt of an offered $5.5 million, according to SEC filings. The cybersecurity company produces “alternative to traditional endpoint security products through one-of-a-kind software that detects and remediates malware without signatures or any other form of prior knowledge.”
Zephyr Technology Corp., based in Annapolis, has raised $2,440,000 in equity of an offered $3 million, according to SEC filings. The health IT company creates “real-time physiological and biomechanical monitoring, or Physical Status Monitoring, solutions for mHealth, Defense, First Responder, Training and Research markets.”

Millennial Media has opened an office in Japan, something CEO Paul Palmieri had mentioned during April’s Exec TechBreakfast.
Clay Hickson is stepping down as executive director of the TowsonGlobal Business Incubator at the end of May, although he’ll continue serving on TowsonGlobal’s advisory board. Hickson will move on to global nonprofit Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production to serve as its senior director of strategy and business development. He joined TowsonGlobal as director in March 2007 and became executive director in 2012. TowsonGlobal opened in April 2007.
