A busy week in Baltimore’s tech scene this week. The Baltimore Mobile and Baltimore Social Media groups meet Tuesday night at AOL/Advertising.com and Mother’s, respectively. On Wednesday morning is another installment of D.C. TechBreakfast. Then, Thursday night, spend some time at the grand opening of the Digital Harbor Tech Center in Federal Hill before walking over to Betamore  for the return of Refresh Baltimore.

Baltimore Mobile Meetup: Head to AOL/Advertising.com for a discussion on responsive design, with emphasis on frameworks, CSS, responsive data tables and more. Baltimore Social Media Group: The Baltimore Social Media Meetup convenes at Mother’s in Federal Hill for a talk on “cultivating loyal customers” as a means to help boost profits. How can you get a return on the marketing your company does? The meetup is being held upstairs at Mother’s, appetizers are included and you can expect prizes (presumably, for participating). Tuesday, Jan. 15, 6:30 p.m. Mother’s, 1113 S. Refresh Baltimore: After a long hiatus, Refresh Baltimore returns Thursday for a presentation by Tracey Halvorsen of Fastspot. She’ll be speaking about the pros and cons of open source software by sharing the story of Big Tree, an open source CMS. Refreshments will be served, and the “after-party” will be at Banditos. Thursday, Jan. 17, 7 p.m. Betamore, 1111 Light St., Federal Hill, Baltimore city. RSVP. FREE.
Digital Harbor Tech Center Opening: Join members of the Digital Harbor Foundation as they celebrate the grand opening of the Digital Harbor Tech Center, a space that marries tech and maker education with the environment of an after-school club.
