This is the Startup Roundup. Every Wednesday morning, Technically Baltimore will put together the smaller pieces that make up our startup ecosystem.

The Maryland Technology Enterprise Institute and the Dingman Center at the University of Maryland, College Park, are launching “Innovation Fridays,” “a collection of signature resources now available across the entire campus for entrepreneurs and innovators,” according to a press release on the University of Maryland’s website. The Friday events, which take place throughout the year between the hours of 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., combine the Dingman Center’s Pitch Dingman program with the institute’s entrepreneur office hours. For a schedule of locations, click here.

Baltimore-area companies raked in more than $85 million in venture capital funding in Q3 according to PriceWaterhouseCoopers MoneyTree report, according to the Baltimore Sun.

TargetGov, a “small business that specializes in federal contracting,” is doubling its staff, according to Bmore Media. TargetGov moved earlier this year from the Maryland Center for Entrepreneurship in Howard County to the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, to the bwtech incubator within UMBC’s Research and Technology Park.

For those startup founders still looking for co-founders, head to the Emerging Technology Center in Canton tonight for the Co-Founders Wanted Meetup. Alternatively, if you’d like to join in on someone else’s business, this is your opportunity to do that.
