Tickets to the eleventh installment of Ignite Baltimore are now on sale.
Purchase tickets to Ignite Baltimore 11, taking place Oct. 18 at Maryland Institute College of Art.
Ignite Baltimore events afford people five minutes to present on any topic, with a maximum of 20 PowerPoint slides to go through, each of which is displayed for just 15 seconds. Ignite Baltimore 11 will feature 16 artists and technologists.
Ticket sales to Ignite Baltimore go to fund two Ignition Grants worth up to $2,250 each. The grants are “available to support new, innovative and feasible projects that aim to make Baltimore a better place to live and work,” and applications for grant proposals are due September 30 at midnight.
Sponsoring October’s Ignite event are Mindgrub Technologies and the Emerging Technology Center, among others. The Greater Baltimore Technology Council is a fiscal sponsor of both the event and the Ignition Grants.
