TechBreakfast organizer and Bizelo founder Ron Schmelzer is organizing a comprehensive one-day “legal bootcamp” for startup founders Aug. 30. Right now, the event is tentatively scheduled to be held at the TowsonGlobal Business Incubator.

- Articles of incorporation and/or organization
- Employee agreements
- Intellectual property inventory and audit outline
Schmelzer says the legal workshop is important to make sure Baltimore isn’t perceived as “amateurs-ville” for startups.
“It’s going to create a minimum threshold for companies, [and] that’s going to help our city quite a bit,” Schmelzer says.
Schmelzer says that he might run such an event every month depending on the demand, but, for now, the plan is to do some sort of one-day legal bootcamp every quarter.-30-
