Grant from Abell Foundation helps expand CitiWatch Community Partnership [Baltimore Sun]: “The new program, funded by a $53,200 grant from the Abell Foundation, will create a single database of public and private camera systems, which the mayor’s office says will allow police to solve crimes faster.”
Study commissioned by Downtown Partnership finds lack of housing [Baltimore Business Journal]: Downtown Baltimore needs 5,000 new apartment units by 2017 to meet demand. … The study follows similar reports issued by Downtown Partnership in 2001 and 2006, the last of which indicated downtown Baltimore needed 7,430 additional apartments by 2011.”
