Just a quick note to make sure Startup Baltimore readers know about the upcoming Baltimore Hackathon running from 11/19-11/21 at the Beehive.

We’re gathering a whole bunch of software and hardware hackers together for one awesome weekend to build something new, from idea to prototype. Here are some key elements that will make it really fun:

  • You don’t have to have a team or an idea. We’ll be helping match people up on the 19th.
  • You can also visit the wiki to see what ideas people want help with, or propose your own.
  • We’ve had some really nice sponsors come out to provide free food and coffee all weekend.
  • The whole Beehive is going to be full of like-minded hackers – you will have no choice but to make new friends!
  • You might just meet a new collaborator for a new bigger project – or end up taking your prototype and commercializing it/expanding it!
  • There are cash prizes for the winners in each category, ranging up to $350.
  • We’ve got some awesome Baltimore business leaders volunteering as judges.

It only costs $5 to participate. For more details and to register visit BaltimoreHackathon.com.
