Kickstarter’s tech predictions for 2015

Once they spell it out for you, it’s hard to think of a team that sees more cutting-edge technology than the Kickstarter hardware team.
These days, Kickstarter lets most projects “Launch Now” if they want, but we’ve heard that the hardware team still likes to scrutinize its turf a bit more closely, gauging whether the team behind a given project has a credible chance of delivering on its promises.
Crowdfunding is one of the leading ways that inventors prove there’s a market for their inventions these days, so the Kickstarter team is seeing products, in many cases, long before VCs do. So they really do have preview seats for some of the most intriguing ideas in real stuff.
So, Kickstarter let its hardware team put together a post on what they think are the most interesting categories of technology with the biggest implications going into 2015. In this reporter’s opinion, it’s a great list.
