Introducing Diversity In/Tech at the Brooklyn Navy Yard

An afternoon conversation on digital inclusion, Diversity In/Tech will be held Jan. 28th at, and in partnership with, the Brooklyn Navy Yard. We’ll be in the very cool BLDG 92 space.

In January, Technical.ly Brooklyn is hosting Diversity In/Tech, a tech access afternoon conference focused on increasing the inclusion of underrepresented groups in technology fields in Brooklyn and beyond. This afternoon of dialogue and exchange will help identify issues around diversity in technology and steps that can be taken to correct them.

Diversity In/Tech will be held Jan. 28th at, and in partnership with, the Brooklyn Navy Yard. We’ll be in the very cool BLDG 92 space.

The event will be structured around a series of panel discussions on the state of STEM education, diverse practices in building a workforce and entry points for entrepreneurship. MakerBot President Jenny Lawton will present a keynote on her experiences with robotics programs for youth, hiring a strong workforce and building a business.
