Mclean, Va.-based Logi Analytics, developer of a platform allowing users to embed analytics into commercial and enterprise applications, has acquired Reston, Va.-based Zoomdata, a data visualization and analytics software platform company.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but this acquisition furthers Logi Analytics’ expertise in embedded analytics capabilities.

“By joining forces with Logi, our groundbreaking analytics software will be embedded in more applications,” Nick Halsey, CEO of Zoomdata, said in a statement. “Many more people will be able to analyze billions of rows of data in seconds, even across multiple data sources, within the applications they use all day, every day.”

Logi Analytics’ capabilities include security integration, self-service analysis, workflow, write-back, predictive analytics, big data analytics and more, the company’s CEO Steven Schneider said in the press release. Zoomdata specializes in real-time exploration of big data, streaming data and multisource analysis. Founded in 2012, Crunchbase reported that Zoomdata has raised a little over $47 million to date.

Logi Analytics said in the press release that more than 2,100 application teams use its analytics capabilities to advance their data visualizations to better engage users.

This is the second acquisition of the year for Logi Analytics, coming a few months after it acquired Rockville, Md.–based Jinfonet Software, a business intelligence and analytics software provider that integrates its tech into applications.
