If you own a for-profit business or firm with fewer than 500 employees, you’re eligible to take the Federal Reserve Bank’s Small Business Credit Survey (SBCS), a national sample of small businesses that is aimed at gathering information on their financing and debt needs.
“Small businesses are critical to the US economy,” said an Instagram post from the Wilmington Alliance, which is encouraging Delaware business owners to participate. “But data on small businesses is limited — especially data on how and why small businesses seek financing.”
The Federal Reserve, it continued, “is apolitical, independent, and decentralized, which puts it in a unique position to collect, analyze, and distribute this data.” Check out 2021’s report here.
The 10-minute confidential survey does not require owners to provide personal information. After the survey ends on Nov. 19, the data will be analyzed, and the results will be issued through a series of reports that will be used to inform federal agencies on what small businesses need to thrive in the current economy.
