Spring is upon us, which means activity is starting to bloom around the region. But with pandemic restrictions still in effect, we continue to experience communal gatherings from our screens.

For one sign of the return of spring, check out the Chesapeake Conservancy and Explore.org’s webcams. The area’s most-watched birds are building for spring. On Kent Island, a family of ospreys have returned to their summer home after wintering in the south, and their nest is beginning to take shape. Up on the 33rd floor of the Transamerica Tower in downtown Baltimore, peregrine falcons Barb and Boh are already watching over four eggs.

For those who want to see the familiar faces of people and gain some professional knowledge, there are plenty of events to help hatch businesses and career moves with a new season to click over to between bird checks. Check out this week’s outlook for tech and entrepreneurship events:

Rocket Pitch + Power Networking, a CONNECTpreneur Investor Network Free Virtual Event

The mid-Atlantic-focused network event is back for its 58th event with virtual networking, breakout rooms and pitches featuring 13 emerging local tech companies.

Baltimore Collegetown Industry Days

The Baltimore Collegetown Network event series provides university students from the region and employers space to meet. It could be a ticket to an internship or job. CyberAg Symposium

Easton-based F3 Tech is bringing together the agriculture and cybersecurity sectors to explore the new technology being used in growing food and fish, and how to keep that tech and data secure. Speakers include Maryland Lt. Gov. Boyd Rutherford, a presentation on precision ag by Chris Haak of Columbia-based Skyward App Company, and a panel from the FBI discussing cyber threats in food and agriculture.
