Even celebrities get Zoom fatigue.

Hi! You’re reading the Pittsburgh edition of This Week in Jobs (TWIJ), a weekly newsletter written by our team at Technical.ly in partnership with InnovatePGH and the Pittsburgh Innovation District. Each week we put together for you a slate of news and fresh job opportunities in the ‘burgh. If you’re not already subscribed, you can do so here.

Celebrities, they’re just like us. This year’s Golden Globes featured enough Zoom snafus, technical difficulties, and celebrities accepting awards in sweatsuits to make us feel a little better about working remotely.

So don’t sweat it on that next big video interview when the audio cuts out, your cat walks into the frame over your keyboard, or you’re still not sure where you should look during a Zoom call — we’re all still learning.

The News

Remote personalized trainer app DeltaTrainer announced its partnership with AnyTime Fitness, the country’s largest gym chain, to provide safe remote training in gyms.

Two years after shutting down, LaneSpotter has relaunched. The app uses community-sourced knowledge to create safe bike routes.

Forest Devices unveiled the positive results of its AlphaStroke technology study, which has shown to detect strokes faster in the field than other methods.
