Tech Jobs Tour, a 50-state tech jobs fair launching Saturday at SXSW, will hold its Pennsylvania stop in Philadelphia as its tries to fill 100,000 tech jobs in one year, reports our sister site Technical.ly DC.

The effort is being led by TechUP, a D.C.-based organization that connects diverse tech talent with companies, and TechHire, an initiative to help underrepresented talent get into tech roles, which also visited Philadelphia in 2015.

“American cities are shifting from industrial to digital economies, meanwhile, our workforce is acquiring technical skills via non-traditional training,” TechUp founder Leanne Pittsford said in a statement. “From Philadelphia to Omaha to Honolulu, we’re creating activations in 50 United States cities this year with one simple goal: help innovative companies hire America’s talent.”

The tour’s selection of Philly as the Pennsylvania stop is an important recognition of the city as a tech talent hub (take that, Pittsburgh!). Likely, the organization aims to tap into the talent pool streaming from local institutions like the University of Pennsylvania, Drexel University and Temple University, along with more tech-focused learning centers like the New York Code + Design Academy and recently inaugurated Philly chapter of the Launch Academy.

Dates for each of the stops have not yet been released, but we’ll keep you posted.
