WHO’S GETTING FUNDED?

GoodWorld, a 1776-based startup that facilitates hashtag-based charity giving, has raised $1.65 million, the Washington Post reports.
Rockville-based call center software company 3CLogic has raised $1.4 million from a prospective $2.5 million round, an SEC filing indicates.

WHO’S MAKING MOVES?

Blackboard has acquired X-Ray Analytics, a company that produces cloud-based data analytics for educators. Chalk it up to the company’s hunger for growth through the open source space.
Surefire Social, the McLean-based marketing firm whose parent company recently raised $1 million, has launched SurePulse, a new product that allows companies to manage all their digital activity in one place.
Alexandria-based travel risk consultancy TATE Global has created an analytics product that allows company executives to evaluate the risks of missions in other countries.
DC Web Women has opened up nominations for its 2015 awards. Deadline is Aug. 1.
