Baltimore city government has a new place for you to find out: an online tool for mapping development data.

EconView, which launched Tuesday, provides a searchable map that shows data on public and private projects. There is information about projects currently under construction, as well as those in planning. Available data includes a project’s cost, status, planned completion date and the city agency in charge of overseeing the development.
Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake announced the website at last week’s State of the City address as part of a 20-point economic development plan.
“It’ll give people an opportunity to see development in real time,” said Baltimore Development Corp. CEO William H. Cole.
