TalkLocal reportedly moves to College Park [Startup Roundup]

WHO’S GETTING FUNDED?

In the first equity crowdfunding endeavor approved by the District, EquityEats raised more than $80,000 and reached 40 percent of its goal within six days of launching, Elevation DC reports. The funds will go towards the creation of Prequel, a pop-up restaurant.
Chuck Ghoorah, cofounder of Cvent, joined the board of directors of TrackMaven, Tech Cocktail reports.
New Frontier Financials, a financial analytics firm for the weed industry, raised a potent $250,000 in seed fund on CannaFundr.com, an online platform for the industry.
Orchestro, a McLean, Va.-based data analytics company, raised $6.8 million, according to an SEC filing.
SemaConnect, a Bowie, Md.-based electric car charging station company, raised close to $16 million, according to an SEC filing.
Avizia, a video conferencing products company based in Reston, has borrowed $3.1 million, according to an SEC filing.
ThreatQuotient, a Vienna-based cybersecurity company, has raised $500,000.
