WHO’S GETTING FUNDED
Tangible Cryptography, a Wilmington-based Bitcoin ecommerce company, recently raised $600,000, according to an SEC filing. Gerald Davis is listed on the filing as the executive officer. According to the company’s LinkedIn profile, “Tangible Cryptography’s first platform is BitSimple, which provides users with a simple, secure, and fast alternative to traditional Bitcoin exchanges.”
WHO’S GETTING BUZZ
NBC10 is reporting that Delaware could be the first state to offer virtual licenses via a smartphone app. Officials say they wouldn’t eliminate hard plastic licenses, but rather offer both digital and traditional identification cards.
According to a recent article in the News Journal, the Delaware Technology Park is planning to build a 10,000-square-foot wet lab that will serve as an incubator. The lab will be constructed at the University of Delaware’s STAR campus through a $3 million, 10-year state loan. The lab will host 10-12 early-stage life sciences companies, said DTP president Mike Bowman.
