Kinglet launched this week. The Baltimore-based service lets entrepreneurs rent the most basic office space there is: a desk and a chair, the Baltimore Business Journal reports.

The Japanese government is offering to put up $5 billion toward a maglev line connecting Baltimore and Washington, D.C., The Baltimore Sun reported. State law currently prevents Maryland officials from spending any money assisting in any such high-speed rail project, which could cost upwards of $10 billion.
