Technical.ly hires Cary Betagole as Engagement Coordinator

Cary Betagole recently joined Technical.ly as Engagement Coordinator. In the new role, he’s responsible for strengthening relationships with Technical.ly’s readers, event attendees and sponsors across the Northeast corridor. He will be focused on data-informed decision making.

It’s a new role for the media startup. Betagole, who started in July, is Technical.ly’s seventh full-time hire. A contributor for Technical.ly over the past year, he cut his teeth in media as a section editor at Boston University’s independent student newspaper, The Daily Free Press. He’s also worked as a Community Organizer on the ground in Philly for Nextdoor.com, and as a Digital Marketing Associate for SEER Interactive.

Originally from Cincinnati, he currently resides in South Philadelphia. In addition to his interest in how financially-sustainable media can build community, he’s a proud graduate of the City of Philadelphia’s Citizens Planning Institute and is very interested in how technological change will affect urban life.

He loves data, media and baseball, among many other things.
