Penn, Drexel profs are building better, cheaper solar panel

In a recent article in the science journal Nature, the scientists said they had developed a ceramic material that could be used to make solar panels that were more effective and cheaper than the normal silicon panels.

Researchers at Penn and Drexel are building a better, cheaper solar panel.

In a recent article in the science journal Nature, the scientists said they had developed a ceramic material that could be used to make solar panels that were more effective and cheaper than the normal silicon panels, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported.

The research is funded by¬†Pennergy, “an interdisciplinary program that provides funds for projects involving both engineers and representatives from the pure sciences at Penn, Drexel, and Temple University” and Benjamin Franklin Technology Partners.
