The survey results that are attributed to a Zogby survey regarding employer views of degrees earned online actually come from an Excelsior College survey that was conducted for it by the Zogby organization in 2007 and repeated in 2011. What is missing in this infographic is that two-thirds of employers who were familiar with online or distance learning programs stated that a degree earned online is as credible as one earned through a traditional campus-based program, regardless of the institution granting the degree. This suggests that any credibility gap is based on impressions rather than actual experience.
