WikiWeb: one MD Starbucks likes this Friends of The Web app

Some Starbucks coffee shop near Salisbury University likes the Friends of The Web, the web and mobile design and development studio based out of the four cofounders’ house in Patterson Park.
Wikiweb, released by the Friends last summer, is one Seagull Square Starbucks’ App Pick of the Week, as this photo from Betamore cofounder (and Technically Baltimore adviser) Mike Brenner shows.
As Technically Baltimore reported, the WikiWeb iOS app allows users to assemble web maps of interrelated Wikipedia pages and articles. At the time of its release in July, the app caught the attention of New York Times Bits Blog writer Nick Bilton.

Wikiweb isn’t the only Friends of The Web app that has received attention outside of Baltimore. Its Jittergram app, built at Photo Hack Day 2 in 2012, had been downloaded more than 250,000 times as of last October.
