Three startups graduated Wednesday from the TowsonGlobal Business Incubator this week.
Vulcan Furniture, Exis and Keffa Coffee have all spent at least one year with the incubator, part of Towson University‘s Division of Innovation and Applied Research. Since 2007 TowsonGlobal has provided office space and services to early-stage startups, with financial and advisory support from the Baltimore County Department of Economic Development and TEDCO.
The graduates:
- Vulcan Furniture: Since 2008 Vulcan has sold office and classroom seating and furniture. It spent the last year with TowsonGlobal.
- Exis: A computer graphics and game art outsourcing company founded in 2003, Exis has made computer art for such video games as “XCOM” and “BioShock,” and has worked with LucasArts and Warner Bros. Its time at TowsonGlobal lasted from April 2007 until December 2010.
- Keffa Coffee: Founded in 2006, Keffa Coffee is an importer of Ethiopian coffee beans, which it then sells to independent specialty roasters throughout the U.S. It joined TowsonGlobal in January 2011.
