Airtime for Email, the in-email advertising startup, says its office has turned into something of a coworking space, according to a tweet from Airtime co-founder Patrick Leahy (and inspired by a rogue report from Technically Philly co-founder Sean Blanda). There are now three startups — a total of 27, 5 of which are Airtime’s — working out of the team’s University City office. It’s another space in the bustling coworking scene.

The Philly Geek Awards announced the nominees for Startup of the Year last week. They are ElectNext, Curalate and SnipSnap.

Pointed out by Philly Startup Leaders Board of Directors member Chris Cera on the organization’s mailing list, NitroPDF‘s CEO Sam Chandler waxes poetic about the “beauty of bootstrapping” on the San Francisco company’s blog.

Metalayer‘s Director of Product Jon Gosier will speak at this week’s Startup Festival in Montreal, Canada about how to “change nations through data.” The data visualization startup also just hired Rich Schumacher, formerly a Lead Software Engineer at Digg.com, Gosier says.
