New Castle County middle and high schoolers may soon have a new program to incubate their business skills.
Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA), a Rochester, N.Y.-based nonprofit, is looking for interested parties to sign a petition to the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce that would allow the organization to operate in state schools, according to a report from the News Journal.
The intensive 30-week program educates students on the subjects of business ideation, market research and investor pitches.
“We are very interested in bringing the program to New Castle because it is already a hub of innovation and economic growth,” said Gayle Jagel, founder and CEO of YEA.
