Marketing agency essentia is now Shiny

The rebranding follows the agency's 10th anniversary, as well as the addition of two new partners.

Creative marketing agency essentia has rebranded as Shiny. And they’ve even got a shiny new .agency domain.
Cofounder and creative director Shannon Stevens said he’s “incredibly proud” of what the agency accomplished as essentia over the past decade.
Chris Cunningham, Shiny’s cofounder and associative creative director, added that the brand isn’t quite done evolving just yet. “Refreshing our brand is an invigorating way for us to clearly send that message to the world,” he said.
The change not only follows the agency’s 10th anniversary back in February, but the addition of Razorfish alums John Avondolio and Katy Thorbahn as partners in March.
“We’re creating a boutique agency with big agency thinking, with the sole mission of helping brands create engagement in this age of distraction,” she said.
Avondolio agreed, adding, “There are a lot of things that go into making that a reality, but at the core is the need to come up with highly engaging solutions for our clients’ biggest marketing challenges.”
Avondolio said the name “Shiny” stems from the need to break through clutter and create work that shines. And, according to an agency press release, the brand-new brand also needs some brand-new team members.
