This week: get schooled on CMS’s for your business, chat with journalists and discuss digital divide issues with the mayor.

Website Platforms (CMS’s) for Nonprofits and Activists – Get the low-down on Drupal, WordPress, Apostrophe, Omeka and Google Sites as options for content management from a panel of local designers and developers. If you can’t make it, the event will be streamed live. Tuesday. 6:00 p.m. Center City. RSVP.

How did you first get involved in news? – The city’s journalists will be getting together over beer and ping pong this week to discuss how they first got involved in news. Tuesday. 6:00 p.m. Fishtown. RSVP.

Connect Philly: Addressing digital access issues – Join Technically Philly, the City of Philadelphia, KEYSPOT (Powered by the Freedom Rings Partnership) and the Knight Foundation for the launch of Connect Philly, a new set of tools which can help citizens find free and affordable access to the Internet and computer training.
