To kickoff the third annual Philly Tech Week Presented by AT&T, Drexel University Gaming Professor Dr. Frank Lee will host a Pong game tournament on the north face of the 437-foot tall Cira Centre, making it one of the largest video game screens in the world. Brandywine Realty Trust, which owns and operates Cira, is a partner in the project.
On Friday April 19th and Wednesday April 24 at 8pm, hundreds of people watched the tournament from the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, in a celebration of the city’s vibrant digital arts, gaming and creative technology community. RSVP for the April 19 kickoff on Facebook here.
Because of time and opportunity constraints, fewer than 100 people will be able to play. In addition to a few “Golden Tickets” and reserved spots for student groups, those signing up here before Friday, April 12 at 5 p.m. will be entered into a free lottery for the chance to play in the tournament as part of Philly Tech Week. Winners will be told before Wednesday, April 17.
You must be available on both Friday April 19th and Wednesday April 24 from 8pm to 10pm and provide a working email address and mobile phone number. More details to come.
