Before Vine goes dark, a Philly Vine celeb shares his final six-second clip

One last vine from Peter Heacock? Don't mind if we do.

As visual content-sharing platform Vine announced its shutdown last fall, Philly-based Viner Peter Heacock saw one last opportunity to shine: the final day for making six-second videos on the platform was Jan. 16.

Must have been daunting to think of a final video up on the platform that led him to found Unpopular Now, a creative agency built off the back of Heacock’s Vine stardom and that has created content for brands like Target, Starbucks and Chipotle.

We asked how it felt to take a curtain call on Vine. “Melancholy,” said Heacock in a brief email. “But grateful for the opportunities and the experience.”

Despite Vine’s departure, Unpopular Now will keep doing its thing. The creator said to look out for longer form creative projects from his agency, which will be looking to set up partnerships with more brands and agencies in 2017.
