Makers, gearheads and other creative souls: NextFab just launched an accelerator program called RAPID Hardware Accelerator you might want to check out.
RAPID is an acronym for, say it with me, “Revenue through Advanced manufacturing, Product development, Innovation, and Design thinking.” The program hopes to provide makers with the knowledge and skills to start and grow a hardware business through mentorship and classes.

Entrepreneurs tapped for the 12-week program will have free, full access to a dedicated station at the South Philly makerspace, $49 of credit toward classes and machine time and advice from seasoned makers in the NextFab community.
There are five spots open for the first cohort, which will kick off on Oct. 13, and candidates must submit their application by Sept. 25.
