The Reading Viaduct has a spiffy new website

Check out the vision for Philly’s take on the High Line:

The new site, made by local digital agency Armor, sketches out what could become of the Reading Viaduct. The abandoned train right-of-way has long captured the imagination of urbanists and explorers. The hope is that the disheveled trackbed becomes the alluring Viaduct Rail Park.
“Phase I of the project is designed, engineered and more than 50% funded towards breaking ground by 2017 with the support of the City of Philadelphia, the William Penn Foundation, The Knight Foundation, the McLean Foundation, SEPTA and through the leadership of the Center City District,” a section of the new site reads.
You can see renderings from both phases of the project and also acquaint yourself with the various flora that grow alongside the tracks. A gallery of current Instagram photos is also a gem.
The plans are all very pretty and informative. Time will tell if they become real.
