Is this the most beautiful startup office in Philly?

It feels like Urban Outfitters opened a satellite office in Center City. But instead, the new digs are home to three affiliated startups: Lamps.com, Payroll Shopping and PerPay.

A trio of tech companies just opened up shop in Center City — and their office looks straight out of an Anthropologie catalog.
Reclaimed wood floors, exposed brick, hanging plants. Actually, it immediately called to mind Urban Outfitters’ HQ at the Navy Yard, which isn’t a total coincidence: Free People COO David Hayne is an investor and cofounder in one of the three companies and URBN’s Terrain did all the plants.
We’re talking about the new offices of Lamps.com, Payroll Shopping and PerPay.
The companies recently upgraded from 1,500 square feet in Old City to 5,600 square feet on the eighth floor of the Biddle Building at 1217 Sansom St. (They actually spent some time in CloudMine’s office, also in the Biddle Building, while their office was getting built.) Lamps.com did the lighting fixtures for the office, of course.
The new office coincides with another announcement: PerPay just closed a $2 million funding round.
The space also reminded us of how Leadnomics, 50OnRed and RightAction all shared an office at the Cira Centre until recently. (Like those three companies, which share a cofounder and backer, Lamps.com, Payroll Shopping and PerPay were all founded or cofounded by Chris DiMarco. DiMarco stepped away from the day to day operations of Lamps.com to focus on PerPay last year. )
