“Keystones don’t show my love for art.”
“Keystones don’t determine my future.”
“A test score doesn’t determine my learning journey.”
Those are just some of the messages shared on a new website developed by Philadelphia Student Union members at Science Leadership Academy. The site is called #MoreThanATest and aims to show how limited standardized testing — like the state’s Keystone Exams — is.

“We wanted to show the public all the ways that students’ lives, passions, and experiences cannot be evaluated by high stakes standardized testing,” Nomi Martin-Brouillette, one of the lead student developers of the website, said in a statement.
The website comes at a time when more local parents and students are choosing to opt out of standardized testing.
