Billy Penn, the recently-launched mobile news outfit, is hosting a pop-up coworking space for reporters on Election Day. Location is still TBD.

It feels like a response to a few trends, including the proliferation of smaller news outlets that won’t have a bustling newsroom on election night, shrinking newsrooms and the local coworking craze. It also seems like a first go at building community around local journalism, using a tried-and-true tactic (coworking).
