Asteroid Belt Almanac on science/tech intersection launches crowdfunding

The Asteroid Belt Almanac is a collection of essays, fiction and other creative works about our interaction with science and technology published by the Head and The Hand Press, the Fishtown-based craft publisher that last year launched a vending machine for creative writing.

Currently, they’re a third of their way to a $3,000 crowdfunding campaign to print the first release. Support the crowdfunding campaign here.

The campaign’s lowest threshold is $15, which gets you a copy of the book, which includes a story from Geekadelphia cofounder Eric Smith, a piece about composing music in the digital age by musician Sean Hoots, an essay about the advancements in ultrasound technology by freelance writer Sarah Grey and a poem about students exploring the bounds of Google Translate by Sara Graybeal of YouthBuild Charter School.
