Three U.S. representatives that rep parts of Philly -- Bob Brady, Chaka Fattah and Allyson Schwartz -- should be more progressive, according to a new tool from a Philly/Brooklyn team.

The app is called Primary Colors, and it compares an elected official’s voting record and stances on issues to the makeup of that official’s district (Republican versus Democrat). It’s meant to show Democrats that challengers could potentially take on — without losing “a liberal hero,” as the site puts it. Put more simply, it shows the country’s “worst Democrats,” as the Daily Kos wrote.

“The Democratic Party needs more progressive superstars in these districts, and activists just got some powerful new tools to elect them,” the site writes.

Primary Colors comes from Philly-based journalist Jon Geeting (see his work at ThisOldCity and Keystone Politics), Brooklyn-based organizer Ryan O’Donnell and Brooklyn-based designer Dave Garwacke.
