See how City Council spends its campaign dollars

Former Philadelphia councilman Bill Green spent $1,124 of his campaign dollars on Uber in 2012. The on-demand car service accounted for less than one percent of the $84,395 he spent in 2012 on campaign-related activities, according to data from AxisPhilly. (The new chair of the School Reform Commission is also an Airbnb supporter.) Council President Darrell Clarke also used the service, spending $223 on it in 2012.

Councilman Bobby Henon was the top campaign spender from 2008 to 2012, AxisPhilly reported, using the money to hire programmers and web developers who could build things like his Bad Neighbor app.
