Researchers at Penn and Drexel are building a better, cheaper solar panel.
In a recent article in the science journal Nature, the scientists said they had developed a ceramic material that could be used to make solar panels that were more effective and cheaper than the normal silicon panels, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported.
The research is funded by Pennergy, “an interdisciplinary program that provides funds for projects involving both engineers and representatives from the pure sciences at Penn, Drexel, and Temple University” and Benjamin Franklin Technology Partners.
